About Anita

Sometimes life blossoms with the rarest flowers in life. And you don’t know if you should weep for their short life or laugh for their beauty.

I live under the Big Sky of Northern Montana. It’s here that God has gently lead my heart and life through some major metamorphosis.

I am married to an amazing guy. He’s quiet and strong and determined and gentle. We have loved and laughed and cried. We have a Wee One in Heaven as well as our angel child, Kierra Raine. She’s the reason this blog exists.. She was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder as a baby and ran, (for the very first time!) into the arms of Jesus when she was 3 1/2 yr old. She broke all the rules and lived her own beautiful wildflower life to the fullest!

We have two healthy sons, Kobe and Ky who fill our days with laughter, craziness and delight.

I’m a recovering people pleaser, a book lover, a coffee any-day type of girl who loves nature, Dreaming, and delightful ideas. I am learning to love myself and accept my imperfections and quirks because they make me uniquely me.

Our little family is constantly shifting gears in life, moving on to new adventures and love spending time outdoors, working on fixer uppers and successfully working toward a debt free life.

I hope you drop me an email. I hope whatever you are facing in life right now….that you can find Beauty in the Unexpected. That you can find Peace in Suffering. And Joy in Normal.

Always remember …you are not alone!

You are loved!

Peace….

Anita

  1. Hi, I was googling something and came across beautiful Kierra. How is she now. Iwe are prayer warriors so please know we will be lifting you all up for our amazing heavenly physican to give a healing touch and peace to you and your family. Hugs to you all. My heart is heavy but we all know God has a plan and we need to fall on our knees to that. Prayers from Alaska. Pa, Ohio, and Florida.

    1. JoAnn, thanks so much for your prayers! Kierra passed away in January of this year….so she is doing better then ever before! But we are missing her dreadfully and trying to adjust to life without her. She was our sweetest little angel! And still is!

  3. A week or so ago I came across your story…. And wanted to say thank you!
It’s been just over 3 months that I lost a baby girl, she had Trisomy 18 and as much as I KNOW she is better off I can”t help missing her and feeling a bit “cheated” that we didn’t get to keep her more than 5 days. I found a quote in my Mom’s Bible (She is in glory too) “Lord,If, like a fragile flower, torn petal by petal, my heart must continue to tear…. let there be fragrance.” – Calkin and I wanted to thank you for sharing the fragrance….hope…peace….and yes the confidence that God is.. and He is in control! 6. Hello Anita,
I happened to be looking up research on various Gentic mutations and your blog came up. What an eye opening read. Thank you for sharing your story, I have recently taken a job that I will be working with small children like your own wildflower, and have enjoyed learning about your eye opening experiences.
